Who doesn’t love a New England road trip? Cache here with a new series just in time for warm weather cruising through southern Maine & New Hampshire. Join me as I spend a day adventuring around each of the Partners Bank locations looking for all of the best things to do. And why not kick my adventures off in the hometown of Partners Bank – Sanford, Maine. Home to not one, but two Partners Bank locations, there’s no shortage of things to do in Sanford, Maine.

I cruised through the teller window, for my weekly treat, and was off on my way to enjoy all the things there are to do in Sanford, Maine.

First up – outdoor adventures and walks around Sanford, Maine. The downtown area boasts large sidewalks perfect for a quick stroll, but all the locals were sure to tell me about the many walking paths and hiking trails in Sanford, Maine. The minute I heard “Walk” my ears perked up and I started taking notes.

Mousam Way South

Following the Mousam river, this trail offers shade from the wooded path and a nice boardwalk along the route. You can also put in a paddleboard nearby and S.U.P your way along the river! I’ll stick to the doggy paddle of course.

Sanford High School & YMCA Trail

A unique system of trails, each a half-mile or less, the Sanford High School & YMCA Trails are beautifully paved with crushed rock and the perfect option for all ages.

Sanford Springvale Rail Trail

The Sanford Springvale Rail Trail follows an old railroad bed 6 miles to the Lebanon town line. Offering year-round hiking, biking, horseback riding, and more!

Wow! Who knew there were so many walking & hiking trails in Sanford, Maine? After a long walk, I always like to take my humans out for a bite to eat. Lucky for us, there are many great restaurants in Sanford, Maine. Enjoy everything burgers and pub fare at Backstreet Grille, true-blue diner food at Third Alarm Diner, Vietnamese food at Pho Saigon, pub grub at Publick House, delicious Asian eats at Kai Asian Fusion, and authentic Mexican flavors of El Mexicano. With plenty of great restaurants in Sanford, Maine, you could easily spend all day dining around!

Bowl-A-Rama

New Englander’s have a time-honored tradition of Candle Pin Bowling. A smaller bowling ball allows for kids of all ages and their parents to enjoy a night on the lanes. Grab snacks and drinks from their snack bar, and even glow bowling on certain nights! This family-owned bowling center is a great spot for those looking to try the classic New England style Candle Pin Bowling.

Mardens

Shoulda Bought It When…. We’ve all heard the saying that goes along with the famous Marden’s Lady commercial, and she’s not wrong! My humans find all the best deals at the Sanford Marden’s, and their pet toys get two paws way up from me!
