Kennebunk AWS Receives $500 Through Partners Bank Employee Donation Program

Partners Bank's, Mandy Elliston with $500 check donation for Kennebunk Animal Welfare Society through Bank's Employee Donation Program.

Partners Bank’s Mandy Elliston, Credit Administration Manager, was the latest Bank employee chosen for the Employee Donation Program, choosing the Kennebunk Animal Welfare Society to receive the gift.

SANFORD, Maine—Whether you are a dog lover, cat lover, or prefer some other type of animal, we all love our furry little friends.   We thank those at the Kennebunk Animal Welfare Society (AWS) who take care of these wonderful companions until they find their forever home. As the recipient of this month’s Employee Donation Program, Partners Bank’s Mandy Elliston chose AWS to be the recipient of this month’s $500 gift.

Elliston, who serves as the Credit Administration Manager for the Bank, is the program’s 52nd employee to choose a non-profit or charity of their choice to receive $500. She chose the AWS because of her own personal experience adopting.

“I adopted two dogs from AWS five years ago,” she said. “They were the best dogs ever, but unfortunately they passed of old age. I will be forever grateful to AWS and the passion they have for placing animals into their forever home.”

The AWS was founded in 1967, operating on a 40-acre campus in Kennebunk, with satellite adoption centers throughout northern New England. The center is staffed by more than 40 full- and part-time employees, as well as a team of more than 150 dedicated volunteers who contribute more than 36,000 hours annually.

“Our pets bring great joy to all of our lives,” Bank President & CEO, Blaine Boudreau said. “The work that AWS does to care for these animals daily is what makes that joy possible. Thank you, Mandy for your selection!”
