The Partners Bank Employee Donation Program Gives Employees Opportunity to Give to Local Nonprofits Of Their Choice

Sanford, Maine— Partners Bank announces the latest participants in the Partners Bank Employee Donation Program, in which an employee is randomly selected every month to choose a deserving nonprofit to receive a $1,000 donation. In the months of October, November, and December of 2022, each selected employee chose a unique organization to receive this special, employee-directed donation.

In October, John Tanguay, VP – Commercial Banker, selected The Sisters Wish; in November, Emma Huber-Young, Deposit Services Representitive, selected Avian Haven; and in December, Stacie Parker, Market Manager – Springvale, selected Grammy Rose Dog Rescue.
“We appreciate the thought that our employees put into these designations and the opportunity to learn more about the causes that are most meaningful to them,” says Blaine Boudreau, Partners Bank President and CEO. “It is always a pleasure to have the opportunity to learn about a new organization and the good they do in our community.”

Tanguay’s designee, The Sisters Wish, serves communities in Maine, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts, making it possible to fulfill wishes of terminally and chronically ill young adults aged 18 to 30. In addition to having a community connection to the organization’s founding members, Tanguay reflects, “This group has worked so hard over the years to raise money to provide ‘wishes’ to terminally ill people in our local area.”

Avian Haven of Freedom, Maine, is a wild bird rehabilitation center that Huber-Young became aware of in 2020 when bird-watching became a favorite hobby during the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic. The organization is open 365 days a year and cares for wild birds that are orphaned, sick, or injured, with a goal of releasing them back to their natural roles in the wild.

A frequent volunteer for Grammy Rose Dog Rescue and Sanctuary, located in Acton, Maine, Parker sees firsthand the difference the organization makes in dogs’ lives. Grammy Rose specializes in rescuing adoptable dogs from kill shelters around the country and provides them with quality care in a unique, home-like setting while they work to match them with forever families, a mission that Parker values.
As of December, 2022, the Partners Bank Employee Donation Program has made 81 donations to employee-designated organizations.
