Cache the Partners Bank Mascot’s Guide to Saving Money and Spoiling Mom for Mother’s Day
Hi, friends! Cache here, your favorite mascot. A very important holiday is coming up for a special person in your life – your mom! Mother’s Day is just around the corner, and you’ll want to treat her on her special day.
I know a thing or two about love, loyalty, and being spoiled. Lucky for you, I’ve also learned some money-saving tricks from my Partners Bank pals. So here are some budget-friendly ideas to spoil your mom this Mother’s Day:
- Whip up some breakfast in bed or a homemade brunch. She has always gotten you out of bed in the mornings and helped you get ready for your day. This time, it’s her turn to hit the snooze button while you use your paws to make her breakfast or brunch. Nothing says “I love you” like a plate of pancakes and coffee!
- Plan a nature walk or a picnic. I know walks always excite me. And when there are snacks involved, it’s even better! Just like me, your mom enjoys the little things, like spending quality time with her kiddos. (It doesn’t matter how old you are, you will always be her kiddo.) Pack snacks, a blanket, and let her relax while you handle the details. Did I mention to be sure to pack snacks?
- Create an at-home spa day. We all deserve some rest and relaxation occasionally. Light some candles, warm a towel in the dryer, make or buy her a face mask, start a bubble bath, and maybe give her a foot massage. (I personally dislike baths and would rather roll around in mud, but I doubt she’d want to do that.) A spa day will show her how incredibly special she really is!
- Have a family game day. Get everyone in the family involved by breaking out the board games, cards, or even charades. Let mom pick the first game (and maybe let her win a round) for a family game day. A game day is a fun, laughter-filled way to bond with mom. Bonus points if you set out her favorite snacks!
- Watch her favorite movie together. Make some popcorn, grab a cozy blanket, and settle in for a movie night. Let mom choose her favorite film and ask her why it’s her favorite. Be happy to watch it, even if you’ve seen it a hundred times. It’s about spending time together and making memories, not the movie. Be sure not to run out of popcorn!
- Give her flowers. Whether it’s a bouquet from the store, a bunch from the garden, or even a single flower – flowers always brighten mom’s day. It’s a quick and easy way to tell mom you love her. Beautiful flowers will have her barking for joy!
- Tell her how much you love her. Do this by writing a letter, getting a greeting card, or simply chatting with her over the phone or in person. Tell her how much you appreciate the work and sacrifices she’s made. Tell her what you admire about her. Share what important life lessons you’ve learned from her. Share your favorite memories together. Something as simple as this goes a long way. And don’t forget to give her a big hug!
Remember, it’s not about the size of the gift – it’s about the size of the love. At Partners Bank, we know a lot about love and saving money. We are happy to share these money-saving tips with you so you can pamper your mom this Mother’s Day!
