Crystal Lambert Wins ABA Emerging Leaders Forum Scholarship
Crystal Lambert, VP & Commercial Operations Manager, will attend the ABA Emerging Leaders Forum and Washington Summit in Washington D.C. in March, as part of winning the $750 scholarship.
Sanford, Maine – Partners Bank is thrilled to announce that Crystal Lambert, VP & Commercial Operations Manager, has won the American Bankers Association (ABA) Emerging Leaders Forum Scholarship! Nominated by President & CEO Blaine Boudreau and the Maine Bankers Association, Lambert was one of two people selected for the $750 scholarship.
Lambert will attend the ABA Emerging Leaders Forum and Washington Summit on March 18-20 in Washington D.C. The ABA Emerging Leaders Forum is an opportunity to share strategies with peers as they work to cultivate a strong, dynamic, and diverse banking industry for the future. Throughout the event, attendees will have the opportunity to network and learn with banking leaders from across the country, gain new perspectives on leadership, while also hearing from and meeting with policy makers on Capitol Hill and other leaders within their own state and association.
This will be the second ABA Emerging Leaders Forum that Lambert will attend. She is eager to gain different perspectives and understanding of unique challenges from her future connections at the event. “I am also looking forward to meeting with Maine Sens. Collins and King’s policy staff one afternoon to discuss recent issues. Jim Roche, President of Maine Bankers Association, graciously set up the Maine congressional visits, which will be a tremendous opportunity for us to share our voice,” Lambert explains.
Leadership is an important topic for the ABA, and they constantly work to develop the skills of bankers across the nation. It’s an ongoing initiative to explore trends and emerging issues in various areas of banking, such as human resources and risk and compliance. Partners Bank is excited for Lambert to experience the ABA Emerging Leaders Forum, collect valuable information, and bring her knowledge back so The Bank That Listens can continue to evolve and better serve the community.
“My main objective is to help provide leadership, innovation, and to make a difference no matter where that may be. Banking is near and dear to my heart and while I can appreciate the industry’s past, I want to be part of an inspiring and innovative future,” Lambert shares her enthusiasm. “There are many new challenges that this sector faces such as automation, FinTech pressures, cybercrime, and even tightening of regulatory and monetary policies that will need to be strategically navigated to help sustain the future and growth of banking.”
