Partners Bank Prioritized Local Organizations and Events in July, Giving $3,250 in Donations
Partners Bank (formerly known as Sanford Institution for Savings in 1933, top image) has always prioritized giving back to the community, which has fostered the growth of Southern Maine and Northern New Hampshire.
Sanford, ME – The ethos of Partners Bank has always been to give the best we can to the community of Southern Maine and Northern New Hampshire. To say that we have aided in the growth of the area would be an understatement. For nearly a century, we have been beside the people in the community during life’s hardships and have been directly involved in shaping the community into what it is today.
Founded in 1933 in Sanford, Partners Bank has been at the forefront of helping organizations and charities of all sizes. In July, we focused on assisting smaller organizations because, from our humble beginnings, we know the ripple effect just one small organization can have on the lives of thousands. Below are the notable donations we made to continue leading the charge in philanthropy in Southern Maine and Northern New Hampshire.
- $500 for Cruising with Friends Car Show – The 3rd Annual Cruising with Friends Car Show took place on Friday, July 26, in Downtown Sanford, ME. Between 5-8 p.m., folks were able to enjoy the food trucks, The Gin Tin vintage mobile bar, a 50/50 raffle, and music. The donation from Partners Bank helped the Friends of Downtown Sanford keep their costs low as it was no longer free to enter a car or truck in the car show unlike past years.
- $500 for Sanborn Football Boosters Golf Tournament – The Sanborn Football Boosters is a parent, alumni, and community organization formed for the purpose of supporting the Sanborn Regional High School football program. The 3rd Annual Sanborn Football Boosters Golf Tournament took place on Saturday, July 20th at Apple Hill in Kingston, NH.
- $250 for Computers4Vets – The mission of Computers4Vets is to help veterans and their families in New Hampshire, Massachusetts, and Southern Maine maintain contact with the outside world. Some veterans are unable to leave their homes, making them reliant on technology to communicate and accomplish tasks. Since 2014, Computers4Vets has given over 1,600 devices to veterans and their families and offers repair services. The donation from Partners Bank will help cover the costs of their generous efforts.
- $250 for BeLoved for a Community Baby Shower – BeLoved is an outreach of Mercy Chapel in Sanford, ME. They collect donations of items such as apparel, bedding, and toiletries. Their team of volunteers receives requests from local agencies, and they deliver the items to families in need. The donation from Partners Bank was to support a Community Baby Shower that BeLoved was hosting.
- $250 for Nasson Community Center & Little Theatre – The Nasson Community Center & Little Theatre in Springvale, ME, is a place where children and adults can flex their artistic muscles by participating in or attending community theatrical arts. The donation from Partners Bank will help them keep the lights on so they can continue to captivate audiences in their upcoming productions: Matilda Jr. The Musical, Marry Poppins, It Runs in the Family, and more.
- $1,500 for Randall’s Run Sponsorship – Partners Bank has been a sponsor of Randall’s Run for many years and is continuing that support in the 22nd Annual Randall’s Run. The 5K run & walk is to support the Nasson Gym. The event will take place on Saturday, August 31st at 457 Main St in Springvale, ME. While it’s free for children ages 9 and under to run, it is $25 for adults to register.
As The Bank That Listens®, Partners Bank is proud to support local organizations and charities in the Southern Maine and Northern New Hampshire region.
