Partners Bank Promotes Karyn Scharf-Morin to Chief Operations Officer

Karyn Scharf-Morin, previously the SVP, Chief Deposit Officer, has been promoted to SVP, Chief Operations Officer of Partners Bank in New England.
Sanford, ME – A round of applause goes to Karyn Scharf Morin as she has been promoted to Chief Operations Officer of Partners Bank and will remain on the Senior Management team.
In Morin’s role as COO, she will assume leadership responsibility for Loan and Deposit Operations, Customer Care, Branch Operations, Customer Experience and Facilities.
“Karyn has always been a critical member of the Partners Bank team, and I am extremely confident that she will continue her track record of success in this new role,” Anthony Cataldi, who will be the new Partners Bank President effective June 30th, expressed his support of Morin. “She will bring not only excellent analytical ability and exceptional leadership ability into this role but also will integrate customer experience into our operational processes.”
Morin joined Partners Bank in 2016 as the Senior Retail Banker/Retail Department Manager. In that role, she oversaw strategic direction and business development of retail lending and underwriting. She quickly cemented herself as a key player in the growth of the Bank.
Her incisive skills propelled her to become the SVP, Chief Deposit Officer in 2019. In that role, Morin was responsible for maximizing the bank’s deposit base by overseeing all deposit-related activities, including product development, pricing, marketing and customer relationship management. Her propensity to charge head-first toward challenges and develop successful strategies helped her with her success as the SVP, Chief Deposit Officer.
Morin has also made great strides outside of Partners Bank. Previously the Treasurer of the Board of Trustees for the Ogunquit Museum of American Art, she has recently been elected as the President of the Board. Her passion for preserving and promoting historical and modern art and dedication to improving the community aligns with the values of Partners Bank.
Morin and her husband, Roger, live in South Berwick.
Congratulations to Morin for her recent promotion and success in and out of Partners Bank. The Bank’s future is bright with her as the new COO.
