Partners Bank President & CEO Blaine Boudreau proudly presents a $10,000 check to the Chairman of the Sanford Mainers Board, Jacob Oullette.

Sanford, Maine – Partners Bank is proud to sponsor the Sanford Mainers as their Presenting Sponsor with a $10,000 donation. Established in 2001, The Sanford Mainers are a staple to our Southern Maine community, working with local families and organizations to give back by means of summer camps and clinics, along with entertainment for all ages, bringing the joy of the game to all who attend a game at Goodall Park. They are one of the country’s premier wooden-bat summer leagues and aspires to be Southern Maine’s Premier Baseball Experience. The Sanford Mainers help players build their skills in hopes of making it to the big leagues. The players participate in community service and give back to the host families that kindly feed and house the players. Partners Bank also participates in an employee night every summer, giving the staff’s families a fun night out.

This sponsorship will benefit the Sanford Mainers in several ways, but new this year, it will also support their literacy program, for which Partners Bank serves as the Premier Sponsor. The literacy program is set to launch on March 1st. The donation will help the students in kindergarten through eighth grade who are involved in Boomer’s Bookworms Club. Participating locations include Springvale Public Library as well as Books Revisited, where students can redeem book vouchers made possible by a generous donation by the Altrusa Club in Sanford/Springvale.
Additionally, Habitat for Humanity is building a seasonal Little Library to showcase at Goodall Park. A little bit more helps the literacy program, and the Mainers hope to reach their goal of acquiring an additional $2,500 before the start of the season.
