Partners Bank is thrilled to partner with Make-A-Wish Maine for the Power of a Wish telethon. After a successful Heat Week Telethon in December, our team jumped at the opportunity to be back on the phone lines, connecting with the local community, and collecting donations for a great cause.

A Make-A-Wish signature event, the 2023 Power of a Wish telethon, was hosted on February 22, 2023, on both CBS13 and FOX23 with inspiring stories of hope shared throughout the day. The Partners Bank team joined in as the morning match partner, offering a match for up to $10,000 in donations from 6 am – 9 am. At 9 am the Partners Bank team announced that they would be increasing the donation to $12,500 regardless of if the number was met or not. With the help of Partners Bank, over 60 volunteers throughout the day, along with many other local businesses, The Power of a Wish telethon raised over $130,000 to help make wishes come true in Maine.

If you’d like to join in the fun and donate to this great cause, visit the Make-A-Wish Maine organization page to learn how you can help with those in need.

More About Make-A-Wish:

This one belief guides us in everything we do at Make-A-Wish. It inspires us to grant life-changing wishes for children going through so much. It compels us to be creative in exceeding the expectations of every wish kid. It drives us to make our donated resources go as far as possible. Most of all, it’s the founding principle of our vision to grant the wish of every eligible child.

This is our mission:

Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Wishes are more than just a nice thing. And they are far more than gifts, or singular events in time. Wishes impact everyone involved—wish kids, volunteers, donors, sponsors, medical professionals and communities. For wish kids, just the act of making their wish come true can give them the courage to comply with their medical treatments. Parents might finally feel like they can be optimistic. And still others might realize all they have to offer the world through volunteer work or philanthropy.
