Sanford, ME – Partners Bank donated $15,000 to York Hospital’s Leading with Heart campaign. The mission of the campaign is to provide residents of Southern Maine and Seacoast New Hampshire with a state-of-the-art Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and ensure access to the best equipment for cardiologists and their patients.
York Hospital, a nonprofit community hospital, has locations throughout Berwick, Kittery, Long Sands, Portsmouth, Sanford, South Berwick, Wells, and York. Their list of services is extensive and includes breast care, cardiovascular care, orthopedic services, emergency services, and more—all while prioritizing the need for caring and attentive staff, comfortable amenities, and the latest technologies.
Cardiovascular Care of York Hospital offers diagnostics (nuclear stress tests and cardiovascular ultrasounds), interventions (cardiac and peripheral vascular angioplasty), cardiac pacemakers and implantable defibrillators, cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation programs, and more. The new lab will be named the Petrovich Peterson Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory and is critical because York Hospital is one of only four hospitals in Maine that performs percutaneous coronary interventions, more commonly known as coronary artery ballooning and stenting.
To save the lives of thousands, it is imperative that the Lab is equipped with the latest technology and tools to perform diagnostics and treatments. The Leading with Heart campaign seeks the generous support of individuals, businesses, corporations, and foundations who want to invest in the future of the community.
Additionally, the expansion and redesign of the Lab will reduce wait times, attract and retain the best medical staff, and elevate the level of care for patients.
Dr. Patrick Taylor, York Hospital President & CEO said that support from community partners has been critical to the success of this fundraising campaign. “We are so grateful for the outpouring of support we have received for this project from the community, government, foundations, and our corporate partners for this lifesaving project. Together, we have fulfilled 94% of the $6.4 million fundraising goal, and we couldn’t be more grateful.”
To help York Hospital reach their goal, donors can donate on the Leading with Heart webpage. Donations are tax-deductible.
Partners Bank President & CEO Blaine Boudreau shared, “Prioritizing heart health is in the best interest of everyone in the community. The $15,000 donation from Partners Bank makes a notable impact in the modernization of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, and we are excited to be a partner of York Hospital.”
