With the rising cost of everything, including home heating fuel, we know that people are going to be struggling to heat their homes this season. And we are proud to say we found a way to help. We created a Heating Assistance fund and we teamed up with Channel 8 WMTW to sponsor Heat Week during the week of December 5th which wrapped up with a live telethon to raise additional funds. Then we contacted Keep ME Warm to learn more about how they provide heating assistance to folks in Maine and found a way to include an area in New Hampshire to cover our entire footprint.
Partners Bank donated $250,000 to be distributed through the Keep ME Warm Fund which includes a match made during the live fundraiser telethon. We are thrilled to announce that Heat Week and the live Heat Week Telethon in partnership with Channel 8 and United Way of Southern Maine helped to raise an additional $50,000 for the fund.
